GM Ventures recognized the potential of Fine Mycelium™ materials and jumped on board to incorporate them into automotive interiors.

This collaboration has unlocked new possibilities for material customization. MycoWorks’ Fine Mycelium™ technology allows for grown-to-spec materials, meaning they can tailor the materials to meet the exact needs and standards of the automotive industry. In October 2023, MycoWorks took another giant leap by opening its first commercial-scale Fine Mycelium™ production facility in South Carolina. This is a game-changer, folks.
